Course Overview

This City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Course (Diploma in Electrical Installation) is the start of your training to become a qualified electrician. It will cover the wide range of electrical installation skills plus the essential electrical science, electrical theory, and craft knowledge skills training needed to join the electrical industry. Once completed you can then progress on to take the 2365 Level 3 Diploma course. This is one of the qualification routes recognized by the electrical industry to become a qualified electrician.
The first step to becoming a Commercial Electrician

Who is this Level 2 Course for?

The 2365 Level 2 is for anyone aged 16 and above regardless of previous experience or knowledge, who wishes to become an electrician and work in commercial, industrial and domestic electrics. Ideally, you will have maths and English to a basic GCSE standard, however, if you do not, we can still assess you using the functional skills tests to find out if you are at the right level. This course is usually followed by the Level 3 Qualification, an NVQ, and an AM2 Assessment to become a qualified electrician.

As most people do, you may want to consider doing our Level 2 & 3 City & Guilds 2365 combined together on 1 continuous course.

Why take the 2365 Level 2 Course?

Put simply, to get a job with a contractor as a rookie electrician. By funding your initial training, you can make yourself much more attractive to employers by gaining the relevant skills and experience that they are looking for. This Level 2 course is 10 weeks long (over a 20-week period) and covers all the foundation knowledge and practical skills that will mean you won’t simply be making tea if you start in a new job or apprenticeship. You will actually be able to get to work straight away under the supervision of a qualified sparky.

This will allow you to then complete further training, on the Level 3 Diploma Qualification and then onto your NVQ and AM2S at a later stage if you so choose.
